1971 rare GG live session that's never seen the light of day. Released for the first time, this CD captures 75 minutes of Grant Green burning it up at his favourite club in his favourite city, the Club Mozambique in Detroit. Added to band regulars saxophonist Clarence Thomas and organist Ronnie Foster are soul tenor master Houston Person and the ultimate groovemaker, Idris Muhammad. They stretch out on five popular R&B hits of the day as well as three originals, including an early version of "Jan Jan".
