元々はコリィとジェイムズが「SLIPKNOT」加...

元々はコリィとジェイムズが「SLIPKNOT」加入前に活動していたバンドであり、二人の「SLIPKNOT」加入がきっかけで自然消滅したバンドが名作の誉れ高き「Iowa」発表の翌年2002年にサイド.プロジェクトとゆう形で再始動させ今作は通算2作目となる作品！今やエクストリーム.ミュージック界では尊敬の眼差しで一目置かれるカリスマ的存在となったコリィ.テイラーだが、 本作で聞かせるサウンドは「SLIPKNOT」では表現する事が出来ないであろうサウンドを聞くことが出来る。元来、コリィ.テイラーとゆうヴォーカリストは非常に歌心を熟知した人なので＃8、＃12ではソフトに歌いあげ＃1〜＃6の前半は男気溢れるストロングヴォイスを堪能出来る。本業の「SLIPKNOT」の動向も気になる所だが「STONE SOUR」自体も独立した個性を放つバンドなので今後もコンスタントな活動に期待したい物である。

なにげにヘヴィなサウンドって有名バンドの中にいないだけに、すごく貴重なバンドです。本当の意味でヘヴィでしかもメロディアス☆歌や演奏のうまさもあるし、サウンドプロダクションだけでなくソングライターとしての才能も感じられますね。スリップノットに要素を入れつつあるみたいですけど、全くの別物として割り切ってもらいたいです。
