XTCの他のアルバムと比べるとどうしても見劣りする。たまには勢いだけで作ってみたかったということでしょうか。70年代前半あたりのブリティッシュロック風味丸出しで、デュークスのように対象化し切れていない。12曲目だけは凝りまくった曲展開で全盛期を彷彿とさせます。
