元AFTER FOREVERのﾏｰｸ･ﾔﾝｾﾝが中心のｼﾝﾌｫﾆｯｸ･ｵﾍﾟﾗﾒﾀﾙ ﾊﾞﾝﾄﾞ｡ｸﾗｯｼｸとﾒﾀﾙを見事に融合させている｡この手のﾊﾞﾝﾄﾞ､(ｾﾘｵﾝ､ｳｨｽﾞｲﾝ､AF､ﾅｲﾄｳｨｯｼｭ等)の中では頂上に君臨する楽曲の完成度だと思う｡

クラッシック要素を含んでいるのに飽きず、長々とせずうまく コンパクトにまとまっているので全体的に良いゴシックメタルを味わえます。コーラスも多いのにしつこさをかんじさせない。女性ボーカルの声がとにかく心地よいです。前作ファントムアゴニーの路線を引きつつ、さらにグレードアップしてます

厳かなコーラスと、見事なホーン・セクションがファンタジーへの好奇心を増幅させるThe Last Crusade。クラシック音楽、へヴィ・メタルへの愛情が痛いほど伝わってきて、思わず微笑んでしまう。窮屈な展開をせず、曲の流れがスムーズになるよう工夫された力作!メタル・オペラ、この言葉はEpicaのために作られた造語だとすら感じる。
