この年のスラッシュは豊作だった。NUCLEAR ASSAULT､MORDRED､GRINDER､DARK ANGEL… このアルバム、懐かしくて再購入したが全く色褪せていない。捨て曲がないぜ！

このアルバムと前作にあたる3rd「UNDER THE INFLUENCE」は個人的に秀逸作品。NEW YORK本拠地の彼らは同じN.Y出身のANTHRAXとは異なり、THRASH METALというよりは硬派なNWOBHM、SABBATHの洗礼を受けたHMバンド。このアルバム発表前後、ほとんどのこの手のバンドがこぞって来日し観にいったが大御所METALLICA、MEGADETHよりも凄いLIVEだった。2ndの「TAKING OVER」も良盤で破壊力は最高だが、少し一本調子の感があり、聴きやすさとしてはこのアルバムは良い。
