子供の頃、「開け、ゴマ!」ってなんて素敵な呪文だろう、って思ってました。このナンセンスさ、ただもんじゃありません。さて、音楽ですが、名ペット吹き、フレディー・ハバードの初リーダーアルバムです。なんと当時22歳。のりのりのバップフレーズを吹きまくりです。とってもジャズっぽい一枚。

当時ジャズトランペット界にとってフレディの登場はかなり衝撃的だったのではないのでしょうか。　リーモーガンも素晴らしいですが、フレディのトランペットは確実に新しさを感じます。　その理由はテクニカルフレーズが多いことが要因に感じます。
