名曲「イン・マイ・ライフ」か聴けるアルバ...

名曲「イン・マイ・ライフ」か聴けるアルバム。また、4人それぞれが、いろいろトライをしているアルバムって感じがします。「ノルウェーの森」で初めてシタールが登場、これ大きい。ジョージ・ハリスンは「If I Needed Someone」という、ソロになってもずっと歌い続ける歌を出しましたし、リンゴ・スターは共作クレジットの曲「What Goes On」を出せたし（ボーカルも取った）。他にも「ミッシェル」や「ガール」みたいな聞きやすい歌もあり、村上春樹の小説のタイトルになってる「ドライヴ・マイ・カー」と「ノルウェーの森」の二曲が入ってるのも面白い。

ロックン・ロール一辺倒の曲から少し進化した、ソフティケイテッド寄りの曲が多いアルバム。小学校５年からビートルズを聴き始めて、恐らく唯一レコードで買わなかったアルバム。中学生からはハードロックに目覚めて、あまり聞かなくなった。CDで初めて聴いた。懐かしい思い出。佳曲は多いので買って損は無い。

The BeatlesのRubber Soulは1965年発表の通算6枚目のアルバム。ジョンとポールの絶妙なハーモニーの1曲目Drive My Carから始まり、最後のRun For Your Lifeまでバラエティに富んだ楽曲が聞ける。特におススメなのはIn My Life。
