１９９１年にブラジルへ音楽旅行した頃よく聴いていました。他の歌手達が歌っていた時には気がつかなかったのに、このＣＤで聴いた”Brasil”が何と心地よかったことか、、、このＣＤはブラジル人のやさしさ・温かさがいっぱい詰まっていて、そして聴く者の心をもやさしくしてくれる極上のボサノバです。あれから２０年近く経ちますが、今でもこのＣＤに対する評価は変わらず、生涯聴き続けるに値するものと思っています。 ジョアンジルベルト、カエターノ、ベターニャ、ジルベルトジル、４人の巨匠の競演、こんな贅沢な組合せで聴けるＣＤは他にはなかなかないと思います。

ジョアンジルベルトの評価って確かに高い方なのかも知れない。けど実際まだまだまだまだ全然充分じゃない。なんせジョアンの音楽ってのはどんな宗教よりも崇高で、誰にでもやさしいんだから。そんなものこの世の中には他に無いでしょ。　そんなジョアンの作品の中でもこのアルバムはこみ上げるオーケストレイションとユニゾンが涙を誘う最高傑作です！
