これぞ、音楽の醍醐味。音楽って、楽しい時に聴くのが一番ベストですが、苦しいこと、悲しい事がある時　力になつてくれる音楽が、あるのですね。同情や慰みでなく、勇気や希望を考えさせてくれる。 自分の人生をぶっつけて聴いています。

１９６０年１０月２１，２４，２６日録音。ジャイアント・ステップスを経て完全にモダナイザー、コルトレーンとして脱皮したサウンドは、新しい皮袋を必要とした。新しい皮袋とは、エルヴィン、タイナーの二人である。モダンな演奏、今までと違ったスピード感。マイルスのバンドとも異なるこの演奏を機にJazzは新たな次元に突入した。
