一曲目の「かいされー」をラジオで聴いて衝撃を受けました。他の曲も素晴らしく聴けば聴くほど良くなる深みを感じました。きっかけがあれば沖縄の音楽も聴いてみたいなと思っていたのでこのアルバムと出会えたのは本当に嬉しかった。

八重山の唄者、大島保克が八重山だけでなく、宮古・沖縄の唄をも悠々と唄い、島々を渡ってゆく。 特に素晴らしいのが宮古民謡「伊良部トーガニ」。緩やかで美しい旋律に込められた情が、大島の繊細で伸びやかな歌声に乗って心の奥深くまで染み入ってきます。八重山の情唄「とぅばらーま」を思わせる美しい唄です。
