エキゾチック・サウンドの創始者、レス・バクスターの、ブラジリアン・ムードによる作品集。おなじみの曲が収録されている。が、他の楽団のアレンジとはあきらかに違うバクスター・サウンドを満喫できる。 「トリステサ」「ビリンバウ」「バンダ（ポール・モーリア盤では「ア・バンダ」とクレジットされている曲と同一）」など、いわゆるラテン・アルバムで有名な曲はもちろんだが、「野生のエルザ」などラテン音楽ではない曲も、バクスター流の解釈でボサノバチックにアレンジしている。 バクスター・ファンの私としては、面白い作品として愛聴している盤の１つだ。
