ジャズ・コールマン(vo)、ポール・ファーガソン(ds)、ユース(b)、ジョーディ・ファーガソン(g)の4人により1978年に結成されたポスト・パンク・バンド、キリング・ジョーク。オリジナル・メンバーによる2009年のリユニオン以来Spinefarmに在籍し、『Absolute Dissent』（2010年）、『MMXII』（2012年）、『Singles Collection』（2013年）と作品を発表。
本作『Pylon』（2015年）はRoyal Bloodほかを手掛けたTom DalgetyとKilling Jokeの共同プロデュース作品。2020年のパンデミックを予見した形となった曲として話題を集めた「I Am The Virus」収録。
