KC作品のなかでも際立って幻想的で美しいアルバムながら演奏のタイトさもふくよかさも欠いてしまって全体像がか弱い。下地が完成する前の段階で仕上がりとなってしまっているような。

詩的な世界観もｱﾙﾊﾞﾑそのもののｺﾝｾﾌﾟﾄも素晴らしいと思うが…肝心のｻｳﾝﾄﾞ･ﾌﾟﾛﾀﾞｸｼｮﾝがｲﾏｲﾁ。一枚の作品として考えると、抑揚の感じられない平坦さは単調で退屈に感じられる。

クリムゾン史上最も哀愁と憂いと詩情を湛えたアルバムです。今のクリムゾンはメタリックでこういう部分が全く消えてしまって聞けません。このブリティッシュロックがもつ独特な湿気が良いのに。
