デューク・ピアソンのファースト。録音は1959年、共演者はベースがジーン・テイラー、ドラムがレックス・ハンフリーズ。本人のやさしい性格が鍵盤からひしひしと伝わってくる。またデューク・ピアソンのブルーノートでのプロデューサーの手腕も忘れてはいけない。それは、たぶん考えたジャズの表れではないだろうか。ピアノにも随所にその片鱗が見え隠れする。これこそがのデューク・ピアソンの真骨頂といえる。
