「Jazz Impressions of Eurasia」の数日前にインディアナのジャズ祭で録音されたブルーベック・カルテットの貴重なライブ音源！

■ 1958年にインディアナ州で開催されたフレンチ・リック・ジャズフェスティバルでの実況録音。ヨーロッパや中東の国を訪れ、80回のコンサートを終えて帰国し、パン・アメリカン航空機の前で撮られた印象的なジャケットで有名な「Jazz Impression of Eurasia」が録音されたわずか6日前の録音。

■長いツアー演奏を終えたメンバーがヨーロッパや中東の印象を曲にした内容で、スタジオ録音を控え、リハーサルを兼ねた演奏と思われる。このジャズ・フェスティバルで演奏された殆どの曲が同アルバムに収録されている。

■ボーナストラックは1961年ニューヨークにて同メンバーの録音。
