ハンバートハンバートの一番わかりやすく裸なアルバム。これは聴きながらいつの間にか夢中になっちゃう名盤。男は好きになるんじゃないかな。良成さんのまっさらさと遊穂さんの声のパワーとの絡み合いが一番強く感じるアルバムです。最後の曲がおいらの船ではなく、はつ恋というのが最高です。どちらも大好きな曲ですが！

今作は、前作の作風とは違い、世の中に対して吐いてる部分・葛藤が感じられ、かなり現実的な内容です。「まっくらやみのにらめっこ」というタイトルも色んな意味で解釈できますよね。。音は、相変わらずこの二人独特の音だ！！”こぎれい”なオーガニックサウンドとは、一味違い、土臭さ・人間臭さ満載です。・・いい音楽家だとまた認識させられました・・もっともっと評価されるべき二人！！

久々に日本のミュージシャンで素晴らしいと思った。 くるり主催の京都音楽博覧会で知り、生で聴いたけれど、シンプルながら力強い。 京都音楽博覧会でも演奏された1 、ﾊﾞﾋﾞﾛﾝ は名曲。
