国内ではＣＢＳＳＯＮＹの初期発売’68ＬＰ(SONX60005)、’76オリジナルコレクションシリーズＬＰ(SOPO129)、’07紙ジャケシリーズＣＤ(MHCP1272)として繰り返し再発され人気があったもの。’50年代のベスト・チョイス、ということで全曲モノラル。それぞれ「アムール・アモール・アモーレ」、「デリカード」、「南国の冒険」、「ジョージ・ガーシュイン名曲集」、などから選曲、シングルから収録された曲もある。モノラルの“夏の日の恋”はまるでラジオで聞いているようだ。「新しい世界」と比較すれば隔世の感あり。しかし、それをリアルタイムで聞いていたのだから。

フェリシア・サンダースが歌う「ムーラン・ルージュ」が絶品。米国盤CDと比べると、ヴォーカルの深みが増し、弦の響きもなめらかになった。「夏の日の恋」をはじめ、フェイスの初期ヒットを網羅したアルバムなので、迷ってもこれを選べば間違いなし！ボーナス・トラックは付いていないが、CD袋に発売当時の写真が印刷されるなど、心憎い気配りがなされている。
