ほぼMonkとColtraneのデュオで奏でられるス...

ほぼMonkとColtraneのデュオで奏でられるスローなMonk’s Moodから始まり、アップテンポのEvidenceを挟み、またスローなCrepescule With Nellieに続く。その後もMonkの代表曲が続き、唯一Monk作曲では無いSweet And LovelyもMonkのアルバムではおなじみの曲（途中テンポが倍速になりColtraneがソロを取る）最終曲のEpistrophy (reprise)は途中でフェイドアウトしてしまうのが残念だが（CDにはincompleteと記載)、音質も素晴らしくMonk、Coltraneが好きな人は、おそらくお気に入りのアルバムになると思う。

ここでのコルトレーンとモンク親父はルークとヨーダみたいな感じ？シーツ・オブ・サウンドというフォースを手に入れる前の隠れた修行時代。後から出てきた序章に感動！１９５７年の奇跡！！

素晴らしい！音質、演奏共にモンク無し！！特に音質は、当時のスタジオ録音を凌駕するほどの生々しい迫力です。ぜひ、残りの発掘音源のＣＤ化を願います。
