ジャケが最高にかっこいい！音楽性は最新作「ブルー＆ロンサム」で感じられたような「ブルースのパンク化！？」発売当時に聴いたティーンエイジャーの衝撃はのちのパンクの比ではなかったのではないかと思います。

ビートルズのファーストアルバム発売からほぼ１年後、満を持してのストーンズ、ファーストアルバム発売。オリジナルは「tell me」一曲だけながら、カバー曲すべてストーンズ流にあらよっと仕上がっている次第。このアルバムを通してアメリカ南部の情景が目に浮かぶ。
