地元アトランタで学生時代からの付き合いがキッカケとなり、当初はT.I.P.という名前で活動を始めた5人はタレント・ショウ等に参加。T.I.とのツアーやミックス・テープのリリースで話題を集め、遂にメジャー・デビューを掴み取る。メンバー全員が25歳ということからアルバム・タイトルが『25 To Life』、そして、グループ名は“the Pimp Squad Click”の略。映画「Hustle & Flow」のメインテーマ曲"I'm A King"がヒットするなか遂にアルバムが完成！
