一聴してわかる録音の良さ。時代を感じさせないワイドレンジ。”9”～”11”のブルース3連発が聴きもの。珍しくモーガンのミュートが聴けるが、これがまた秘めやかで危険なムードを漂わせた素晴らしいプレイ。スローテンポのブレイキーのシンバルも不吉な予感をばらまく。
