Given the number of times Yellow Magic Orchestra has been anthologized, issuing yet another 'best-of' collection might seem redundant. This compilation, however, justifies its existence on several counts, not the least of which being its inclusion - for the first time ever - of the cover of a jazz standard, featuring jazz singer Mari Nakamoto, 'Love Come Back To Me' and four previously unreleased tracks. A stunning 2CD set, 'UC YMO' features 34 digitally remastered songs of the techno-pop pioneer, from its early instrumentals 'Rydeen', (Computer Game', 'Fire Cracker', 'Tong Poo' and 'Behind The Mask' to the later pop hits 'Kimini Munekyun' and 'Ongaku'. Supervised by one-third of the trio, Ryuichi Sakamoto, 'UC YMO' provides, as the titles says, the "ultimate" anthology of one of the most influential bands ever to emerge from Far East.

まだ売っていたんですね。私は貧乏なので再発CDをぽつぽつ買いました。 それにしても御三方の音楽はホッとしますなぁ。

国内リリースものは当然、外盤もアナログも全部持ってても、やっぱり買ってしまった。ホントのファンなら金惜しまず買いましょうなどと、寝惚けた方もいますが、さすがに、シャツ＆バンダナはいらないのでアルバムだけ買いました。さすがの教授も初期の作品はイジリ辛かったんだなと。下手するとリミックスになっちゃいますし。元々完成度高いのは周知の事実。やっぱグルービーです！さすがです！どれをとっても一級品！
