ベリーダンス･スーパースターズって？？
2009年に待望の来日公演を果たすベリーダンス・スーパースターズは、アメリカで活躍する世界で最も有名なベリーダンス・パフォーマンス・グループ。
本場中東とは一味違う新しいベリーダンスのステージスタイルを披露し、世界的なベリーダンスブームの火付け役になったともいえるグループ。
ポリス、スティングのプロデューサーとして名高い米音楽プロデューサー、マイルス・コープランドによって2003年にアメリカで産声を上げました。某ダンサー・オーディションで現メンバーのソニア、アンスーヤ、アマル・ガマルの3人のベリーダンサーに出会い衝撃を受けたマイルスは、初めてベリーダンスのステージをプロデュースすることを決意。リバーダンスをヒントに、アラブの音楽とダンスを組み合わせてショー仕立てにし、大成功を収めます。
世界各地での公演も大盛況、DVDやメンバーがセレクトしたコンピCDは世界中でメガヒットを記録。マイルスはその後もオーディションを継続、常に新鮮なメンバーを投入（モー娘的?！）。次々に新たなスターを生み出し続けています。
