ソウルやファンク、ゴスペルといった ブラック･ミュージックをルーツにしながら、ロックやジャズ、レゲエやクラブ・ミュージックの影響もちらつかせるスタイルから、俗に言う「オルタナティブ・ソウル」いう枠に括られ、自身でプロデュースから楽器までこなすマルチプレイヤータイプゆえ、デビュー当時からPrinceやSealらと比較されていた才能溢れるシンガーGlen Scottが再びシーンに戻ってきました。
前作『Soulrider』（02年）から実に7年ぶりとなるニューアルバム『Trust The Dawn』は、かつてのようにソウルフルでエモーショナルな歌声そのままに、Stevie Wonderを彷彿とさせる楽曲やD'Angeloのようなビター･スウィートなバラードなど多彩な楽曲が満載！まさにヴィンテージ･サウンドと呼ぶに相応しい深く濃いアルバムとなっているようです。 ズバリ、期待していいでしょう！！
最近、Glenはアコースティック・ブルース・シンガーEric Bibbの作品を手がけているのでお返し共演、あるかも。

Glen Scottのデビューアルバム。プロデュースや楽器をこなす自作自演派で、内容も内省的。あらゆる音楽を昇華したスタイルは当時（今でも）のUKソウルの醍醐味だったように思う。
・『Soulrider』（02年）
前作同様、オルタナティブな匂い漂うスタイルではありますが、より自らの趣味に近い70年代のソウルやファンクのテイストを強くしたグルーヴィーな作品。
