「Brit Award 2009」発表！

グラミー賞と並び世界の音楽シーンで影響力を持つというイギリスの音楽祭の1つ「Brit Awards」の授賞式が18日ロンドン・アールズコートにて行われました。
今年は「Best British group」「Best British Album」などにノミネートされたColdplayと、「Best British Album」「Best British breakthrough act」などにノミネートされたDuffyが4部門の最多ノミネートされていましたが、結果はDuffyが＜Best British female＞＜Best British Album＞＜Best British breakthrough act＞の3冠を獲得し圧倒的な強さでBritsを制しました！
同じく最多ノミネートだったColdplayはなんと無冠に終わっています。
なお、先に発表された「Outstanding Contribution Award」（功労賞）はまもなく新作をリリースするPet Shop Boysが受賞。
昨年新設された「Critics' Choice」（その年にデビュー・アルバムをリリースするアーティストから最も売れそうなアーティストを選出）はBBC Sound Of 2009、NMEの新人ランキングでも期待されているFlorence and the Machineが受賞しています！昨年この賞を受賞したAdelは世界的にブレイクを果たしただけにこのFlorence and the Machineにも注目です！
