ジャム系ファンクがキテマス！

数年前から盛り上がっているディープ・ファンク/ジャム系ファンク・シーンから、 実力派グループBamboosがゴキゲンなパーティー・ファンク・アルバムを引っさげ戻ってきました！オーストラリアのグループBamboosは、James Brownなどの伝統的なソウルやファンクを基盤としながら、ジャズやジャム・バンドにも影響を受けたスタイルで根強い人気を誇っています。 特に今作『Side Stepper』はこれまでリリースしたアルバムの持つディープなパーティ・ファンクにノーザン・ソウルや60年代Modsっぽいスタイルを取り入れ、よりスタイルに幅を持たせた内容となっています。
その大きな変化に一役買ったのが、グループに正式加入した女性シンガーKylie Auldistの存在。彼女は今年はじめにBamboosバックアップでアルバム『Just Say』を発表、 評論家筋（バラカン氏も）からも高い評価を得ていたのも記憶に新しいところでしょう。
そのほかにもBig DadaのTY、メルボリンを拠点い活動しているシンガーソングライターのMegan Washington、スウェーデンのソウル・シンガーPaul MacInnesなど多彩なヴォーカリストをフィーチャー。中でもMegan Washingtonを起用したKings Of Leonのカヴァー・シングル「King Of The Rodeo」は要チェック！
