これまで、J DillaやJazzy Jeff、DJ Spinna、Pete Rockといった気鋭ビートメイカーたちが、自らのクリエイティヴィティを発揮したBBE初期を代表する人気シリーズ『Beat Generation』。
昨年、ベスト盤がリリースされたものの、シリーズに加わった新たなラインナップは既に発表された作品を流通するものが最近は多かったのが事実。逆に言うと、 『Beat Generation』シリーズの主旨に合うようなビートメイカーが現れるのを待っていたのかも･･･。
