Japanese dance innovator DJ Honda has been crafting his funkadelic HipHop slicing and dicing since his late teens. In the mid-'90s, he released a slew of singles while making international headway in the club/dance circuit, and made his debut with "Out for the Cash" in 1995. "H II" followed three years later, showcasing collaborations with De La Soul and KRS One. That same year brought a split between he and Sony Music, leaving him to create his own label DJ Honda Recordings.

DJ Krush
Japanese turntablist and producer DJ Krush is one of the few island-nation throw-ups to be embraced by the global hip-hop world. Krush's heady brand of experimental, instrumental hip-hop has been praised by everyone from hardcore underground HipHop 'zines like The Bomb to the speckless offices of Rolling Stone and Spin. Krush came to larger acclaim in the mid-'90s through his association with the London-based Mo'Wax label, which released his "Strictly Turntablized" in 1994 and "Meiso" in 1996, both reissued stateside by A&M.

DJ Tonk
DJ Tonk is a HipHop DJ as wel as a beat maker. He is a former member of a Japanese HipHop group called Naked Artz with a rapper Mili, K-On and DJ Sas. After a group disbanded, he began working on his solo project as a beat maker. After releasing two albums, he left Japan in 2003 and moved to San Francisco, California. In Frisco, he achieved his song to be in a part of famous compilation album called "Deep Concentration Vol.4" released from Om Records. He came back to Japan in 2004 and established his own label, known as Milkdipper.

He has released the first solo album "New Awakening" in 2003, featuring a varierty of artists such as Mark De Clive-Lowe, Rich Medina and Lady Alma . He has received magnificent appraisal from URB magazine with this album. Diversifying the work since then, he has being working on producing specially in the field of Underground HipHop and Japanese Pops. He could be the most attractive Japanese producer right now.

Nujabes
Nujabes is a Japanese HipHop producer, DJ, owner of Guinness Records and runs Hydeout Production. His name is an anagram of his first name and last name spelled backwards and combined. He has released two albums in Japan, which are "Metaphorical Music" in 2003 and "Modal Soul" in 2005. He has also contributed music to the soundtrack of Japanese anime "Samurai Champloo" with Fat Jon of Five Deez. Through his albums, he has collaborated with Underground HipHop acts such as CYNE, Five Deez, Substantial and Funky DL.

Shin-ski was influenced by Prince when he was a middle-school student. He has left Japan in 1995, and goes to Boston in the United States. He met his partner DJ Real in the block party one day, and formed a production unit called Martiangang. His first official credit was the interlude of Electric's "Life's A Struggle". Since then he makes a beat for rappers such as Insight, The Procussions, Funky DL, Time Machine and many others. He is also known as a track maker of ShinSight Trio, and a production team called Levitatorz.
