2008年、遂にラディカル・ヒーローが帰還!
Asian Dub Foundationを脱退後、その動向が注目されていたオリジナル・リード・ヴォーカリスト Deeder Zaman。レベル・ミュージックの先鋭、ボーカリスト、そして卓越したライブ・パフォーマーとして知られる彼のアルバム『Minority Large』が2008年1月26日にリリース決定。
今年発売されたADFのベスト・アルバム『Time Freeze 1995 / 2007』に収録された新曲「Activists & Selectors」にゲスト・ヴォーカルとして参加し「Deeder復活か！？」とバンド再加入を噂されたましたが、このとき既にソロ・アーティストとしての活動をスタートさせていたようです。
このソロ・アルバムでは、Primal Screamのプロデューサーで知られるBrendan LynchやAsian Dub Foundationのエンジニア Louis Beckett、UKダブ界を代表するプロデューサー Adrian Sherwoodといったロンドン・アンダーグラウンド・シーンを支えるゲストを多数フィーチャー。
Deeder Zamanがロンドンのイーストエンドのストリートへと原点回帰し、さらにアンダーグラウンドのヒーローから得たインスピレーションを加えることにより、ドラムンベース、エレクトロ、ダビーなヒップホップ、ダンスホール・レゲエ、バングラなど、経験とセンスに裏付けられた多彩なグルーヴのサウンドに仕上がり、間違いなくクラブミュージック・シーンを震撼させるであろう。常に政治的、音楽的最前線で戦い続ける不屈の天才MCのメッセージを受け止めよ！！
尚、Asian Dub Foundationのニュー・アルバム『Punkara』は2008年3月に発売を予定しているそう。こちらの作品も非常に楽しみです。
