第7弾！

＞Side 2 Syde / Sky Ballin
オークランドのSide 2 Sydeによる1997年のベイエリア・クラシックスのデッドストック。反則Delegation「Oh Honey」使いの「Sky Ballin'」、Surface「Closer Than Friends」ネタの「Skanless Bitches」、シンガーLevittiをフィーチャーしたメロウチューン「Can You Stand The Pain」など収録。もちろんメロウだけでなくベースがうねるファンク･チューンや乾いたアッパー・トラックもオススメ！


＞Lex Ad / Silenced By The Greed
この人の名前を見たら即買い、天才プロデューサーG-Man Stanが手がけた97年のベイエリア・クラシックのデッドストック！重めの「Shit In The Game」、JT The Bigga Figga参加の「Hustla」、G-Man Stanと男性Voが哀愁をいっそう際立たせる「Memories」、レイドバックしまくりの「Bay Luv」、ベイエリアファンク炸裂の「West Coast Thang」など、聴き進めるほどにハマる好盤。


＞Marlon Money / Let'em Know
『Ghetto Life』でお馴染みのMarlon Moneyが95年にリリースしたベイエリアのレア盤デッドストック！ファンクネス溢れるネタ使いに、不気味＆チープで不穏難雰囲気を醸し出すシンセを加えた激ヤバなプロダクション！J.B.「Give It Up, Turn It Loose」を引用したタイトル曲「Let Em Know」、Donald Byrd使いの「Just A Ho」、ドロドロのベイファンク「Pop Pop Pop」、またしてもJ.B.「Blind Man Can't See」を引用した「Break That Bitch」、そして♀ボーカルをフィーチャー、80'sライクなメロディーとベース＆ビートが爽快＋メロウなオケで歌いあげるゴキゲンな「Salty Tears」など収録。しかし凄いジャケです。


＞Marlon Money / Misterious Wayz
Marlon Moneyが03年にリリースした激レア盤のデッドストック。2枚組全33曲というボリュームの本作は、もちろんG-Man Stanとのタッグ。Jackson 5使いの「I Surrender」、Hi-Fiveネタの「Freaky Game」など超人気曲も再収録。Bill Withers「Use Me」使いまで、スウィート＆メロウなナンバーからベイエリア・ファンクまで濃厚な内容です。


＞Real Untouchables / Understanding The Criminal Mind
Master Pとその実弟、C-MurderとSilkk The Shockerの3人を中心としたThe Real UntouchableことT.R.U.の92年のデビューアルバム。プロデューサーにはE-A-Skiも参加。Marvin Gayeの「Let’s Get It On」ネタ「Let's Do It」、同じくMarvinの「What’s〜」の「Tell Them What's Going On」など初期No Limitファンには感涙の大ネタ＆サンプリング･オンパレードです



G-Man Stan絡みのコンピ

＞Femmes Fatales
天才プロデューサーG-Man Stanが全曲プロデュースのベイエリア限定のフィメール・ラッパー・コンピが登場！しかも全曲未発表というから驚き！Parisクルーの双子Conscious Daughters、3 DeepのメンバーDee Dee、Amina Grip、Shorty Bらが参加。ムーディなトラックあり、ゴリゴリのファンクチューンありと、さすがはG-Man Stanとでも言うべき内容で捨て曲一切なし！後半6曲はインストヴァージョンを収録と美味しい構成。Gスタファンお馴染みの某ショップからの熱いラブコールで実現した完全限定盤。

＞Mafiosos / Fo Tha Money
傑作デビューアルバム「Take Over」とともに、人気の高い96年発表のセカンドアルバムのデッドストックを少量ながら発見!!前述のファーストアルバムにも収録されたGスタ大傑作、ブリブリのベースにボコーダー使い、シンセが鳴り狂うなか、Dee Dee嬢のコーラスがネットリとそして甘く絡みつくベイ・クラシック"Levels Of The Game"も収録。そのほかCMTが手掛ける珠玉の美メロなピアノにトークボックスも映える"They Can't Fade Us"をはじめとしてブリブリなベイファンク、甘ーくおいちいメロウ作まで、K-Louら敏腕トラックメイカー勢の才能が遺憾なく発揮されたバッチリな楽曲が満載。捨て曲なんてありません 。
