Frank Gambaleトリオ・プロジェクト登場

ＧＨＳ、CCEBなど八面六臂の活躍を見せるフランク・ガンバレがNatural High Trio[w/Alain Caron(b)Otmaro Ruiz(p)]のアルバムを発表。ギターファンを唸らせるプレイが魅力だ！西海岸屈指の豪腕ギタリストとして、日本でも人気の高いFrank GambaleがＧＨＳ、Vital Information、Chick Corea Elektric Bandなどに続いて、“怪しい名前の”自己のプロジェクト、Natural High Trioの作品を発表した。
メンバーはアラン・カランのベースとオトゥマロ・ルイスのピアノという編成。ドラムのないリズム部分を同補ってサウンドを組み立てているか興味深々だ。
2006年2月のスケジュールを見るとなんと15日間ものコンサートを消化。本トリオの演奏に加えて、Maurizio Colonna とのギターデュオ・プロジェクトでのイタリアにおけるライヴ。そして、このプロジェクトでのニューアルバム録音と忙しいスケジュールをこなしている。
とりあえず2006年前半、前記のギター・デュオと共にNatural High Trioがガンバレの活動の起点になりそうだ！Check It Out!
