秋風に映えるSweet Jazz Trio

ラッセ・トゥーンクヴィスト(cor)マッツ・ラーション(g)ハンス・バッケンロス(b)の３人による“大人のジャズトリオ”、Sweet Jazz Trioによるスタンダード･コレクション･アルバム第一集。あまりにも「ドンズバ」なタイトルから流れる演奏は、かつてのチェット･ベイカーが持っていた“優雅とセクシーな匂い”を併せ持った演奏だ。
今回、特に印象的なのはベースのバッケンロス。②の中間部でのアグレッシブな（！？）ソロを聴くと淡々としただけでない情熱が伝わってくる。
そして、仕上げられた音色も優しく心に沁みてくるミキシング、マスタリングだ。③のバースを聴けば誰もが、ロマンチックな思い出の箱を開けたくなるだろう。
最後に収録された“My Romance”。バラードの中でも最も切ないメロディを持った曲。この曲を聴くと歌手もいないのにチェット･ベイカーの歌声がどこからか聴こえて来るような錯覚に陥ってしまう。
誤解を覚悟で言えば、“現在に甦った歌抜きのチェット・ベイカー・スタンダード・トリオ”とでも表現したくなる内容だ。
