Celebrating her 50th anniversary since debut, leading minyo (Japanese folk music) singer Akiko Kanazawa presents these landmark works blending traditional folk vocals with dance music.
Originally released on CD in 1991, the two albums HOUSE MIX I and HOUSE MIX II—produced by Soichi Terada, founder of the pioneering Japanese dance music label FAR EAST RECORDINGS, now highly re-evaluated overseas—are finally making their long-awaited debut on analog vinyl.

Soichi Terada’s timeless, genre-transcending sensibility combined with Akiko Kanazawa’s vivid, masterful vocal delivery creates an epoch-making work that opens new horizons in dance music. These albums stand as truly historic recordings.

The previously released 7-inch single “Akita Daikokumai / Akita Ondo” has already made a strong impact, reaching No.1 on HMV Record Shop’s sales ranking and overall pre-order chart (24-hour total), as well as No.1 on Disk Union’s Club/Dance pre-order chart (as of Jan. 16). It also charted at No.10 on the national Enka/Kayokyoku singles chart, attracting widespread attention across the scene.
