This version features a light and groovy bossa arrangement performed by a trio:Yasuharu Konishi on vocals and guitar, Katsuto Suzuki on upright bass, and Ryusuke Kakizawa on drums and percussion.

A 7-inch single cut from the newly recorded Ghibli song cover compilation
Cafe Après-midi Meets Studio Ghibli, themed around “the happiness of an afternoon coffee”, featuring 12 top-tier artists.
■ Side A: Wack Wack Rhythm Band feat. Michiru Hoshino / “Rougeno Dengon”
This Ghibli song cover brings together Wack Wack Rhythm Band—who have continuously delivered a hybrid mod sound blending soul, funk, Latin, rock, and jazz from the dawn of acid jazz and Shibuya-kei in the 1990s to the present day—and Michiru Hoshino, an original member of AKB48 now active as a singer-songwriter.
They reinterpret “Rouge no Dengon” by Yumi Arai, an insert song from Hayao Miyazaki’s 1989 film Kiki’s Delivery Service.
Wack Wack Rhythm Band’s funky, soulful, and uptempo arrangement pairs beautifully with Michiru Hoshino’s emotionally direct vocals, which capture the bittersweet melody of the original. The result is a fresh, groove-heavy, party-ready cover.

■ Side AA: YAKENOHARA feat. Clementine / “Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind”
This Ghibli song cover marks a miraculous first collaboration between YAKENOHARA—a rapper, DJ, and versatile artist also known for his ambient and new-age works—and Clémentine, the quintessential Parisian singer widely celebrated in Japan as an icon of modern French pop.
Together they rework “Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind”, originally sung by Narumi Yasuda, with lyrics by Takashi Matsumoto and music by Haruomi Hosono, the theme song from Hayao Miyazaki’s 1984 film of the same name.
A floating track that blends Latin jazz, Balearic sensibilities, and dub textures melds seamlessly with Clémentine’s cute, coquettish, and husky French vocals, resulting in an exceptionally comfortable and blissful chill-out cover.
