レスピーギ：劇的交響曲、『ベルファゴール』序曲 ネシュリング＆リエージュ・フィル
SACDハイブリッド盤。ジョン・ネシュリング指揮リエージュ・フィルによるレスピーギの管弦楽作品集。最新盤には『劇的交響曲』と歌劇『ベルファゴール』序曲が収録されました。1914年に完成した『劇的交響曲』は演奏時間１時間ほどの３楽章構成の大曲。冒頭のティンパニの連打から強烈なインパクトをあたえ、そのテーマがリズムのパターンとして幾度も登場する重厚なオーケストレーションが魅力的な作品です。歌劇『ベルファゴール』序曲も冒頭からエネルギーが大爆発。レスピーギらしいキャッチーな旋律が印象的です。
ベルギーのオーケストラでありながらフランスを思わせる華やかなサウンドが魅力のリエージュ・フィルですが、ネシュリングの熱いタクトで一層華々しい演奏を展開しております。（輸入元情報）
