Introduction
それは、ほんのひとときだけの、奇跡の歌声―
ひとりぼっちの少年が、“歌”と人生の“師”に出会った時、運命が変わる。
アカデミー賞®2度受賞に輝く名優、ダスティン・ホフマンを始め、オーディションで選ばれ、本作が初の長編出演となる新星ギャレット・ウェアリング、アカデミー賞®受賞のキャシー・ベイツ他、名優たちが脇を固める。監督にはアカデミー賞®受賞作『レッド・バイオリン』で知られるフランソワ・ジラール。トロント国際映画祭GALA部門正式出品を始め各映画祭でも上映され、各国で絶賛の嵐。また、劇中で歌われる様々な合唱曲が、映画の感動をさらに盛り上げる。
【STORY】
複雑な家庭環境中育ってきた少年が、母の死をきっかけに全米一の国立少年合唱団の付属校へ転校、合唱団の指導者から「歌」を通し、自分の才能を信じる大切さを学んでいく感動のドラマ。心を解き放ち大空に舞い上がるような高音域のボーイ・ソプラノ。だが、ボーイ・ソプラノで歌えるのは、少年が声変わりしてしまうまでのほんの少しの間だけ。
子供時代の束の間の美しさと、時間の奥深い力を思い知らされるかのように。
これは、不屈の魂から生まれた、奇跡の物語。
また本作は、若い頃音楽を学んだ経験のあるダスティン・ホフマンの自伝的映画ともいえる。
