ストーリー
昼はホームセンターで真面目に働くマッコール（デンゼル・ワシントン）。元ＣＩＡのトップエージェントであったが、現在は静かに暮らしている。ある夜、娼婦のテリー（クロエ・グレース・モレッツ）と出逢い、本に関する他愛のない会話を交わす内に、彼女がロシアン・マフィアに酷い仕打ちを受けていることを知る。人生に夢さえ抱けず、傷つけられるテリーを助けるため、夜、マッコールはもう一つの「仕事」を遂行する−。それは人々を苦しめる悪人を葬り、どんなトラブルも完全抹消すること。しかし、この「仕事」がきっかけとなり、ロシアン・マフィアがマッコールを追い詰めて行くが・・・
