2014 年はアニメ放送35 周年！
1979 年1 月7 日よりフジテレビ「世界名作劇場」枠で、「ペリーヌ物語」の後番組としてテレビ放送スタート。 L・M・モンゴメリの原作に忠実に描きつつ、アニメシリーズならではの構成で全50 話を制作。人気を博し同年の厚生省児童福祉文化賞を受賞しました。 2014 年3 月には「赤毛のアン」の翻訳者・村岡花子さんの半生を描く、NHK 連続テレビ小説「花子とアン」も放送が決定しており（主演・吉高由里子）、今もなお語り継がれる不朽の名作です。 脚本・監督：高畑勲／画面構成：宮崎駿／キャラクターデザイン・作画監督：近藤喜文スタジオジブリの高畑勲と宮崎駿はもちろんのこと、その二人の作品では欠かすことができない近藤喜文がキャラクターデザインを務めた歴史的名作。さらに絵コンテでは富野由悠季や楠葉宏三などそうそうたる顔ぶれが集合していることも有名です。本商品ではこれまで世に出ていなかった宮崎駿によるレイアウトや、井岡雅宏の美術ボードなど、合計200枚を超える貴重資料を見ることができる特典のデジタルギャラリーディスク（BD）をお楽しみいただけます。
