宇多田ヒカル 書き下ろし『ヱヴァンゲリヲン新劇場版：Q』テーマソング
11月17日に公開初日を迎えた『ヱヴァンゲリヲン新劇場版：Q』。そのテーマソングである宇多田ヒカルの新曲「桜流し」がDVDシングルとしてリリース。本楽曲は前作に続き、『ヱヴァンゲリヲン新劇場版』のために書き下ろされたモノで、映画制作スタッフからの熱烈な要望と、前2作の劇場版テーマソングを手がけている宇多田ヒカルの『ヱヴァ』に対する深い思い入れからこの曲が完成した。「序」「破」のテーマソングとは異なり、せつなく美しく、文学的な気品に満ちた命に対するレクイエムとなっている。
収録されるミュージック・ビデオは、カンヌ国際映画祭グランプリ受賞監督である河瀨直美が「母性」をテーマに手がけ、これまでのビデオとは全く違ったテイストの作品となる。
