Kevin Heybourne(ANGEL WITCH) Interview

I went to see the living NWOBHM legend, Angel Witch, here in Tokyo on June 29th. It has been almost three years since their first show in Japan, and I never thought I'd have an opportunity to see them again!
Yes, the concert was perfect. This it what the heavy metal concert should be like. Powerful, energetic and evil. They kicked it off with the new album opener "Dead Sea Scroll", then next came "Into the Dark". Hey, they played it SO FAST! Way faster than that on the album. The following "Atlantis" was played extremely fast, too. That's what I love about metal concerts!
Surprisingly they play six songs off the new album, and they did all the tracks from the first album except "Sweet Danger". Sure, I wanted to hear "Sweet Danger", which was probably a fly in the ointment, but you cannot be too demanding.
There were encores twice. The first one was with "Free Man" and "Angel of Death". For the second one they played "Gorgon" and of course "Angel Witch" with a huge sing-along by the audience.
The band gave us the best concert and the audience responded with enthusiastic reactions.
It was an ideal heavy metal concert. I'll never ever forget this night.
And how lucky I was, I had an opportunity to conduct a video interview with Kevin Heybourne beofre the show! At first, he told us he never did a video interview, so probably this could be the first video interview with Kevin in the world. I tried to delve into not only the new album but the legendary band's history. I hope you enjoy it!!
