SWEET SOUL RECORDSがオランダより発掘した、2012年大注目アーティスト！
SWEET SOUL RECORDSがオランダより発掘した新たなディーヴァの名はShirma Rouse（シャーマ・ラーズ）。
キュラソー島で生まれ、シント・ユースタティウス島で育った彼女は、Candy DulferやAlain Clarkのツアーやレコーディングへの参加経験を持ち、その後オランダで10年に渡るキャリアを築きあげた。今や、ファンクにジャズ、ソウルフルな楽曲を歌わせたらオランダ国内で右に出るものはいないほどの実力派シンガーである。
このデビューアルバム『Chocolate Coated Dreams』には、Motownサウンドやかつての音楽が持っていた夢とロマンに、そして人間味のある暖かさが溢れ出している。 ハモンドオルガンのファンキーな音色と包みこまれる様な歌声に、自然と体が揺れてしまう楽曲達は、「Feel Like Makin’ Love」を彷彿させる「Take Me As I Am」はもちろんの事、どれをとっても完璧な仕上がり。 2012年オーガニックブームの再来は、この１枚が火付け役となる事は間違いない。
