「本物そっくり！」と全米メディアで大評判となったという、ジュリア・チャイルドを演じたメリル・ストリープは、ゴールデン・グローブ女優賞、NY批評家協会賞女優賞などを受賞、アカデミー主演女優賞にもノミネートされました。 夫ポール役には、『プラダを着た悪魔』でもメリルと抜群の相性の良さを見せたスタンリー・トゥッチ。監督・製作・脚本は『めぐり逢えたら』『ユー・ガット・メール』のノーラ・エフロン。

ストーリー
1949年パリ。好奇心旺盛で食べることが大好きなアメリカ人女性ジュリアは、パリでフランス料理に出会い、名門ル・コルドン・ブルーで学ぶことを決意する。その後、家庭で誰でも作れる524のレシピにまとめて出版、それはアメリカで大ベストセラーとなる。それをきっかえに料理番組に出演し、決まり文句の「ボナペティ！」で大人気に！
50年後の現代ニューヨーク。OLジュリー・パウエルは、作家になる夢に破れ、冴えない毎日を過ごしていた。料理が大好きな彼女は、幼い頃から憧れていたジュリアの524レシピを365日で作り、それを毎日ブログに綴ることを思いつく。「人生を変えたい」その焦りから始めた無謀な挑戦。しかし、試行錯誤を繰り返し、悪戦苦闘するジュリーのブログは、いつしか大評判に･･･。
