Two reasons for not buying this CD. First the same performances were released in HYBRID format which I have and will sound better on a regular CD player if your equipment is really good. The other reason is that the interpretation of the R-K by Reiner leaves much to be desired. He plays it straight through without any affection for the many felicities of the score. Too bad. The orchestra is great and the HYBRID CD sounds wonderful. The Stravinsky is more more compatible with Reiners no nonsense approach to the score. Worth having in HYBRID for the orchestra, the sound, and a decent performance of the interpretation of the Stravinsky.
