An album of quite beauty, that predates much of the cross-genre works of groups like Antony and the Johnsons, among others. No doubt it produced a sense of horror among the Polydor suits, but it remains a tasteful and introspective outing that sadly ended Mark Hollis’s career as a proper solo artist. He could well be planning something, though, one hopes, to follow this up.0 people agree with this review
