何度聞いても、あらたな発見あり、考えさせられるディスク。私としてもまだこの演奏のすべてを理解したとは思えない。この頃のブーレーズらしい、含蓄のある演奏だ。が、逆をいうと純粋に「感動したい」という場合には適さないディスク。。。^^;3 people agree with this review

The problem with any recording of the Beethoven 5th Symphony is that it is so well-known. This is a fascinating account characterised by great dignity. The first movement is rather slower than usual (more than 9 minutes, so longer than both Furtwangler and Klemperer in their studio versions). It is also a controversial performance in that a large part of the scherzo is repeated.This idea was intended to improve the balance of the movement, and certainly doesn’t destabilise it. The cantata makes a pleasan0 people agree with this review
