    作曲家というより、音楽評論家・音楽学者として活躍したサバネーエフのピアノ三重奏曲。 『即興曲』は作品番号4ながらサバネーエフ独自の音楽になっている。 さほど作品を残していないようだが、自分の音楽のスタイルを求めて作曲していたことを感じた。
