シェロー＝ブーレーズの《ルル》解釈を目で確認できる、見事な公演の貴重な記録ではあります。ただ録音品質の低さ・映像の古さ（「映画」が映らないのは？）に加え、実演ゆえの瑕疵（ストラータスの劇的な表現への傾斜など）、若干の誤訳を含む商品としての作りの甘さなど留保をつけねばならない点があり、この評価が妥当かと思います。

In 1979, Berg’s opera Lulu was finally presented in a complete, 3-act form. A studio recording with a virtually identical cast was issued by DGG (now on their Orginals label), but this is a live performance from that first production of the completed score. Having seen the broadcast relay 23 years ago I had forgotten how fine a performance this is, given the difficulties for both singers and orchestra. やっと３幕版が観れた。 ＣＤでは聴けたけど映像も観れたことが非常に嬉しい。 　しかし、このディスクの難点は 1.映像が古い。（−1ポイント） 2.録音が悪く、細部が聴こえない。 　従って、ツェルハサウンドとベルクサウンドの違いが分かりずらい。 これはモノラル録音ではないのか？ （−1ポイント） 3.以上のような難点にも拘らずディスクの値段が高い。（−1ポイント） 　よってこのディスクは非常に価値のあるものだが、上記マイナス面を考慮し、7点とした。
