When it comes to the Japanese alternative rock scene, personally speaking my mind is set on Monkey Majik. You just have to agree that the Plant brothers style of writing music aims to soothe, and boy does it deliver. ”Sakura” is the first song I’ve heard of them while I was searching the internet for something new to listen to. I remember the reaction I had on that day when I listened to, take note, the audio. ”Wow, these guys are amazing”. And then I learned they were Canadian, O.O And then I saw the music video, and it bought tears to my eyes from the laughter. My first listen of Sakura was littered by a plethora of emotions, and by far is still one of the songs I constantly listen to off them. 5 stars for me, it would be a sin personally to give them anything less.
