    春の祭典 の立ち位置を、｢ゲンダイ音楽｣から｢クラシック｣に変えてしまった、言わずと知れた歴史的名盤。４０年も前でありながら、録音はきわめて優秀。ただし、この巻に火の鳥全曲が収められていないのは、バルトークの巻に、管弦楽のための協奏曲が収められていないのと同様に、理解し難い。（どちらもニューヨーク・フィルの演奏。）したがって星１つ減点。
