    歌劇『クリストファー・コロンブス』。音楽だけ聴いて解説や台本は読んでないのだが、音楽だけを聴いていたら現代のオペラの中では成功した作品に入るのではないだろうか。 作曲家バラダだけでなく、カバリエとカレーラスという二大スターもこの作品の初演を成功に導いた立役者だろう。
